Why Viceroy at Ombria Algarve
With sweeping 360-degree views of the Algarve’s rolling hills and open plains, Viceroy at Ombria Algarve unveils a new destination in the heart of the region—an elegant, culturally rich resort just north of Loulé, 30 minutes from Faro airport and the coast.
Designed as a vibrant village, the resort spans 5.2 hectares and features 141 rooms, suites, and residences, crafted by WATG, Promontorio, and Wimberly Interiors. Inspired by authentic Portuguese architecture, its 24 distinct buildings, each varying in shape and size, seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary design. A central tower serves as a striking focal point, while guest accommodations offer terraces, pools, balconies, jacuzzis, kitchenettes, and dressing areas.
Viceroy at Ombria Algarve will launch with six dining concepts, each honoring the region’s flavors. Café Central, located on the main square, will serve artisanal pastries and light meals, while Bellvino will showcase local wine, charcuterie, and cheese. Ombria Kitchen will offer all-day dining with an open kitchen, and Solalua will be a vibrant destination for inventive cuisine and cocktails. Casa & Fora, nestled in the clubhouse, will cater to golfers, and Salpico, the poolside bar, will serve fresh, light dishes.
The resort will feature four pools, a Kid’s Club, and a holistic-focused Spa by Viceroy, debuting in early 2025. Sustainability is at its core, with solar and geothermal energy, a plant nursery for native species, and restored river habitats, ensuring a harmonious connection to the land.
